A date to share

You want to make someone special happy? What better way than with four delicious dates from your trusted date supplier? The date man package “A date to share” includes our Sukari Soft Dates, Tiwi Sufri Dates, Astaka Dates and Khidri Dates – so with the mix of soft and chewy, there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone! The dates come in our stylish personalised gift boxes, which complete the gift perfectly. The boxes are also resealable so you can easily add greeting cards, love cards or whatever you like.

To give you an overview of the different types of dates, here is a small list with the characteristics of the dates included:

1. Astaka dates 800g

Our delicious Astaka dates are large and round with soft flesh and crunchy skin. Their colour ranges from dark yellow to brown. The lighter ones are firmer, meaty and crunchy, while the darker ones are soft and creamy. Astaka are soft in taste and not too sweet. As they are very fresh dates, they should always be kept in the freezer. They taste great ice cold too!

2. Sukari soft dates with kernel 800g

The royal dates, as the Sukari are also called, are cone-shaped and have a wrinkled skin. Their colour is a rich brown with golden yellow tones and they have a caramel-like, fruity taste with a silky aftertaste of honey. These delicious dates come from Al-Qasim in Saudi Arabia. They are not too sweet, but quite soft and just pure delight!

3. Tiwi Sufri Dates 800g

Tiwi dates! Here comes the healthy version of the caramel chewy sweet.
The dates taste caramelly, have a pleasant sweetness and a consistency reminiscent of a chewy candy.

4. Khidri dates 800g

Khidri, the “big, dark and mysterious” dates, are known for their uniform chestnut red colour. This variety has a thin-leaved skin and sweet, somewhat chewy flesh reminiscent of sultanas. Khidri have a warm, intense aftertaste.

How should dates be stored and at what temperature do they taste best?

Dates should always be stored in an airtight container so that they do not dry out. We recommend always storing dates in the freezer, if possible.

Soft dates (like Bawalini, Astaka, Sukari Soft)

– Always store cold, in the freezer if possible.

Taste best cold straight from the fridge or freezer, delicious and ice cold!

Semi-soft dates (like Medjool, Anbara, Sukari Chewy).

– Up to 5 months: Store in the fridge
– 5-12 months: Store in the freezer

Can be eaten cold or at room temperature.

Hard/solid dates (such as Mabroom, Safawi, Ajwa).

– Up to 1 month: Can be stored at room temperature.
– Up to 5 months: Store in the refrigerator
– 5-12 months: Store in the freezer

Best eaten at room temperature, otherwise they are too hard.

Origin: Saudi Arabia
