Barhi (Oasi) date
Barhi (Bahri) dates come in both soft and chewy forms. These Barhi dates have a chewy – gummy texture. We recommend that you leave the dates at room temperature for at least 1-2 hours before eating to soften them. These dates are moderately sweet, leaving a hint of wonderful caramel on the palate. Also known as Oasi dates.

Always store dates in a carton or airtight container to prevent them from drying out.
At what temperature dates are recommended to eat:
Soft and juicy dates such as Sukari Soft, Sukari Royal, Nabta, Alsaka are very tasty cold or even frozen (frozen dates are like mini caramel ice creams!)
Medium soft dates, Segaj, Medjool, can be eaten cold from the fridge or at room temperature.
Chewy, harder dates like Mabrum, Ajwa, Safavi, Sukari Chewy, Barhi should be served at room temperature. Otherwise they will be too hard.
Before eating, press the dates with your finger to check how soft they are.
