Organic sugar free toasted coconut strips
Organic coconut shavings are not only ideal for mueslis, porridges, cakes, soups and African dishes, they also make a real addition to any plate. Our coconut shavings are also an excellent snack between meals. The thin slices are cut and toasted to an incomparable crisp texture.
No sugar or unnecessary ingredients are added in the production process, so it is an all-natural product. Our coconut chips are also organic, as we support sustainable agriculture that operates without pesticides that are harmful to the environment and health.
What are coconut chips?
The white flesh of coconuts is cut into thin strips after harvest and gently dried to preserve the exotic tropical flavor. Coconuts grow mainly in Asia and South America on coconut trees, which you have already seen in beach photos. The nuts that grow there are used to make coconut water, coconut oil, shredded coconut, thin and thick coconut chips, and coconut bowls.
What can you do with coconut shavings?
Coconut shreds are low in carbohydrates and very versatile: as a baking ingredient in coconut shredded cake, as a topping for bowls, porridge, yogurt, muffins, but they are also a real touch in curries or fruit salads. But coconut shavings are also perfect as a snack, and anyone with a sweet tooth should try coating coconut shavings in chocolate.
Are coconut shavings healthy?
Coconut chips not only taste intense and delicious, but they also contain several vitamins and healthy nutritional values. Coconut chips contain vitamins E, K, C and B vitamins. Coconut chips are also rich in important minerals such as iron, potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus and manganese. These are essential to maintain the regular functions of our body. However, coconut chips also contain a high proportion of fat, including a number of saturated fatty acids. However, saturated fatty acids are important for our body in certain quantities, as they are essential for the protection of our organs and for hormonal and immune metabolism. In addition, coconut shavings are a source of protein with a low carbohydrate content, making them an energy-rich snack for athletes as well as for vegans and vegetarians.
