Black Cumin Oil Organic Cold Pressed
Black cumin oil is extracted from the ripe seeds of the Mediterranean oil plant Nigella sativa by cold pressing. In this way, valuable ingredients are particularly well preserved. The taste of black cumin is very reminiscent of cumin. It tastes slightly hot, spicy and ethereal. Typical of Egyptian black cumin is its golden, slightly reddish shimmering colour and its antioxidant content. Although the essential, doubly unsaturated linoleic acid (omega-6) dominates in black cumin oil, it also contains some alpha- and gamma-linolenic acid. Polyunsaturated fatty acids are not heat-stable. The valuable oil should therefore be used for salads and other cold dishes.
