Cardamom
Cardamom is a spice made from the seed pods of various plants in the ginger family. Cardamom pods are spindle-shaped and have a triangular cross-section. The pods contain a number of seeds, but the entire cardamom pod can be used whole or ground. The cardamom we offer is green cardamom which is also known as real cardamom. It’s the first choice for sweet dishes but is also good for savoury dishes. Our cardamom comes from India and is 6.5 mm long.
Cardamom is found in both Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines. In Indian recipes, whole cardamom pods are used to prepare basmati rice and various curries. Cardamom has a strong, strong, pungent taste and aroma with hints of lemon and mint. We recommend using our green cardamoms in hot drinks such as coffee and tea. Our team uses cardamom, especially in teas and rice. Cardamom seeds or pods are sometimes chewed to freshen breath and to aid digestion. Cardamom has various uses that are attributed to traditional medicine.
